brooklyn's 2nd birthday party

A few weeks ago we celebrated Brooklyn's 2nd birthday. With the exception of her usual 2 year old grumpiness, it was a smooth and wonderful day.

My favorite part of the day, hands down, was hearing everyone sing "Happy Birthday" to Brooklyn and seeing her face. She tried to hide her smile but she loved the attention.

I also enjoyed making cupcakes the night before the party with this sweet little girl. She's growing up to be quite the helper.

Squirmy two year olds and Minnie Mouse pigtails don't mix so well.
But she sure is cute anyway.

And ended up like this. I won't lie to you, she was quite the grump. :)


Brooklyn is not a fan of sweets, especially cupcakes.
Instead, she got her own cookie cake (with no icing), had one bite, and was done. :)
If only I could have that kind of self-control.
